Twelve hours into an end-grain board, one slipped cut later, I understand why people pay real money for juice groove jigs. I always figured the jig was just for people too lazy to freehand a groove. Turns out it’s for people like me who freehand one straight through the edge they were supposed to keep. The board survived. My ego is still in the shop somewhere.
