Z-Clip

A Z-clip is a small, Z-profile metal bracket used in mated pairs -- one screwed to a wall, the matching one screwed to the back of a panel or cabinet -- that interlock when the panel is hung, similar in principle to a French cleat but sized and shaped for lighter panels rather than heavy cabinets. The panel lifts on and settles into place with no visible screws or fasteners on the finished face, and can be lifted straight back off the wall just as easily -- the same hidden-mounting appeal that makes cleat systems popular, at a smaller, lighter-duty scale.
